What is your cancellation policy?

We require 72 hours’ notice for any cancellations to avoid a £50.00 per person charge.

If the booking is for more than eight, a deposit of £50 per person is required which is non-refundable.

What menus do you offer?

We have our lunch menu £27.5 for two courses or £35 for three courses available Wednesday to Saturday. Our seven-course tasting menu at £75 or our 5 course menu at £65 is available lunch & dinner Wednesday to Saturday. Our Sunday lunch menu is individually priced & available noon to 15:00.

Do you cater for vegetarians & vegans?

We certainly do. We can cater for all, so when making a booking, please inform us in advance & we can prepare both vegetarian & vegan options.

Can you cater for dietary requirements?

Yes. When making a booking, please inform us of any dietary requirements, as we need to know in advance so that we can prepare appropriate dishes for you.

Food allergies

Whilst we follow best practice at all times, we do like to highlight the fact that all the dishes we serve are produced in an environment where allergens are also prepared and cooked.

We cannot guarantee that the environment will be completely allergen free.

Are children allowed in the restaurant?

Yes they are allowed in the restaurant, however we do not offer a kids menu; they can choose from the à la carte menu & we will prepare a smaller portion, if possible.

Do you offer accommodation?

Yes, we have three rooms on the first floor which are only accessible by staircase, each with a walk-in shower.

Can you accommodate children in the bedrooms?

Unfortunately we do not have the space for extra beds for children in the bedrooms.

Is breakfast included?

Breakfast is not included in the rate of the rooms & is an extra £15 per person.

What time is breakfast served?

Breakfast is served from 08:00 – 10:00.

What time is check-in and check-out?

Guests are welcome to check-in from 15:00. However if you are expecting to arrive earlier please do let us know in advance & we can arrange for you to leave your luggage with us prior to 15:00.

Guests must check-out by 10:30.

Please note we are CLOSED on Monday and Tuesday. We will get in touch with you a few days before check-in to give you the code for our key safe to access the bedrooms. Breakfast is still served on the closed days & we will ask you what time you will need it.

Is there a hairdryer or an iron in the rooms?

We provide hairdryers in all our rooms. If you require an iron & ironing board we will be happy to bring it to you.

Do you offer gift vouchers?

Yes we do offer monetary value voucher,
to purchase one give us a call on 01371 821 660.

How do I redeem a gift voucher?

When you make your booking, just let us know you will be using a voucher & bring it with you on the day of your booking.

Is there a dress code?

There is no dress code, so please dress as smart or as casual as you like.

Do I need to book a taxi?

We highly recommend booking a taxi in advance.

How long does the Tasting Menu last?

The Tasting Menu usually takes around two-and-a-half to three hours. If you are booking a taxi, we would suggest allowing at least three hours.

What are your opening hours?

Monday : Closed.

Wednesday, Thursday, Friday lunch: 12:00 – 14:00.

Saturday lunch: 12:00 – 14:30.

Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday & Saturday dinner: 17:30 – 20:00.

Sunday lunch: 12:00 – 15:00.

The bar is open all day Wednesday to Saturday & last drink orders on Sunday is 17:30. Due to social distancing measures drinks will be served in the courtyard, weather permitting.

Rooms check-in from 15:00 and check-out by 10:30.

Are dogs allowed?

Yes, they are allowed only in the bar area.

Can we eat outside?

Yes, we have tables on our garden terrace & in the summer months you can eat outside; however we do not reserve the tables.

Do you have a car park?

Yes, we do have a car park just across the road with limited parking spaces.

Can we come early for our table & have a drink?

Absolutely! When you book your table it is the time that you will be seated, so we suggest to come 20 to 30 minutes before your booking time to enjoy a drink in the garden.

Do you have accessible friendly access?

Yes, you can access the restaurant by the side door from our garden terrace. Please mention it when you make your booking, so we can allocate you a table with easy access.
