What is your restaurant cancellation policy?

We require 72 hours notice for any restaurant cancellations to avoid a £50.00 per person charge.

If the booking is for more than eight, a deposit of £50 per person is required which is non-refundable.

Does the restaurant cater for vegetarians & vegans?

We certainly do. We can cater for everyone, so when making a booking, please inform us in advance and we can prepare both vegetarian and vegan options.

Does the restaurant cater for dietary requirements?

Yes. When making a booking, please inform us of any dietary requirements, as we need to know in advance so that we can prepare appropriate dishes for you.

Food allergies

Due to the current hospitality climate, we have to adjust our business accordingly. Therefore, in order for to ensure all of our guests are safe, we cannot cater for all allergens and dietary requirements.

Are children allowed in the restaurant?

Yes, they are allowed in the restaurant, however, we do not offer a kids menu; they can choose from the à la carte menu and we will prepare a smaller portion, if possible.

Do you offer accommodation?

Yes, we are a restaurant with rooms and have three boutique guest rooms on the first floor which are only accessible by a staircase, each room has a walk-in shower.

Can you accommodate children in the bedrooms?

Unfortunately, we do not have the space for extra beds for children in the bedrooms.

Is breakfast included?

Breakfast is not included in the rate of the rooms and is an extra £15 per person.

What time is breakfast served?

Breakfast is served from 08:00 – 10:00.

What time is check-in and check-out?

Guests are welcome to check-in from 15:00. However, if you are expecting to arrive earlier please do let us know in advance and we can arrange for you to leave your luggage with us prior to 15:00.

Guests must check out by 10:30.

Please note we are CLOSED on Monday and Tuesday (with the exception of December). We will get in touch with you a few days before check-in to give you the code for our key safe to access the bedrooms. Breakfast is not served on Monday’s and Tuesday’s.

Is there a hairdryer or an iron in the rooms?

We provide hairdryers in all our rooms. If you require an iron and ironing board we will be happy to bring it to you.

Do you offer gift vouchers?

Yes, we do offer monetary value vouchers, to purchase one head here or give us a call on 01371 821 660.

How do I redeem a gift voucher?

When you make your booking, just let us know you will be using a voucher and bring it with you on the day of your booking.

Is there a dress code?

There is no dress code, so please dress as smart or as casual as you like.

Do I need to book a taxi?

We highly recommend booking a taxi in advance.

How long does the Tasting Menu last?

The Tasting Menu usually takes around two-and-a-half to three hours. If you are booking a taxi, we would suggest allowing at least three hours.

What are your opening hours?

Monday and Tuesday: Closed.

Wednesday – Saturday lunch: 12:00 – 14:30 (last order).

Wednesday – Saturday dinner: 17:30 – 21:30 (last order).

Sunday lunch: 11:30 – 18:00 (last order).

Rooms check-in from 15:00 and check-out by 10:30.

Are dogs allowed?

Yes, they are allowed only in the bar area.

Can we eat outside?

Yes, we have tables on our garden terrace and in the summer months you can eat outside; however, we do not reserve the tables.

Do you have a car park?

We do not have a car park. However, there is limited street parking available but please keep mindful of our neighbours while parking. Please also avoid street corners as the street is used for bus routes.

Can we come early for our table & have a drink?

Absolutely! When you book your table it is the time that you will be seated, so we suggest coming 20 to 30 minutes before your booking time to enjoy a drink in the garden.

Do you have accessible friendly access?

Yes, you can access the restaurant by the side door from our garden terrace. Please mention it when you make your booking, so we can allocate you a table with easy access.
